VALLEY HEAD — Peyton Bright posted 11 aces and a pair of assists and Chelsey Cagle contributed four aces, four assists and a dig in helping Gaylesville sweep its volleyball season opener at Valley Head on Thursday. The scores were 25-7, 25-0, 25-10.
Malaya Shireman collected five kills and a pair of aces for the Lady Trojans (1-0). Delaney Coker came away with four aces. Natalie Baty had two kills and an ace. Andreah Calvert finished with a kill and an ace.
Gaylesville travels to Spring Garden on Aug. 25.
