GAYLESVILLE – Malaya Shireman tossed a no-hitter against Valley Head on Wednesday. She struck out six, walked one and gave up an unearned run in the Lady Trojans’ 4-1 softball win.
Sierra Holbrook, Shonda Epps, Peyton Bright, Charity Green, Chelsey Cagle, Anna Hartline, Andreah Calvert and Gracie Dawson each had hits. Emma Givens, Epps, Green and Dawson drove in the Lady Trojan runs.
Gaylesville travels to Jacksonville Christian on Saturday at 2 p.m.
