Georgia Man Arrested On Numerous Drug Charges At A Centre Motel

On Friday, Investigators with Centre Police and Cedar Bluff Police arrested a Georgia man for possessing dangerous drugs and paraphernalia. Jeffrey Rhymes was sought after he was last know to be in possession of a reported stolen item from 2020, in which Centre Police worked. Centre and Cedar Bluff Police both worked on getting information from stolen property that was recovered after it was sold.

Jeffrey Rhymes was originally in a motel in Cedar Bluff when he was first encountered by Cedar Bluff Police. Investigator Dalton Cosby later found out that Jeffrey Rhymes had valid warrants throughout the state of Georgia. Since then, Rhymes left the motel.

Information was obtained about Jeffrey Rhymes being at the Days Inn in Centre where Centre Police and Cedar Bluff Police investigators located and detained Rhymes.

While there, Rhymes admitted to the use and possession of narcotics. Narcotics were found and seized from that room. Rhymes was subsequently charged locally prior to being extradited back to Georgia.
