Georgia Warrents Issued for Henagar Man in Connection with Arson

The Chattooga County Georgia Sheriff’s Office has issued warrants for a Henagar, Alabama man in connection with an incident occurring June 24th.

According to the Summerville News, 45 year old Ricky Terrell Richmond, allegedly kidnapped a woman and later set her vehicle on fire.

The incident reportedly first began, at the Valley Head home of the mother of 32 year old Angela Denise Smith; Smith told deputies that Richmond refused to let her out of the car on the way to a residence in Cloudland.

The report indicates that Richmond had driven Smith to a home on Gordon Lane, where she then jumped out of the vehicle and ran inside – telling the homeowner someone was about to burn her truck; the homeowner told deputies that at that point – he heard an explosion, and went outside to  find the truck ablaze.  He said he was almost hit by the car fleeing the scene. 

He said that afterwards, he managed to put the fire out.

The warrants against Richmond include Criminal Trespass, False Imprisonment and First Degree Arson.
