Geraldine special teams come up big against Collinsville

COLLINSVILLE – Geraldine scored on all seven of its possessions and added three more scores on a punt return, a blocked punt return and a kickoff return, in a 63-20 victory at Collinsville in Class 3A, Region 7 football action Friday.

Quarterback Jaxon Colvin passed for three Bulldog touchdowns in the first half, added a score on the ground, and another touchdown on a 45-yard blocked punt return. He also had two 2-point conversions, 60 yards rushing and 98 yards passing.

Carlos Mann had a pair of receptions for two touchdowns. He ran for 47 yards and had a touchdown on a 92-yard kickoff return for the Bulldogs (6-3, 5-1).

Colton Lusher had a 48-yard touchdown reception and a score on a 53-yard punt return.

Keaton DeBoard led Collinsville (3-6, 2-4) with 107 yards on 23 carries and a touchdown. He set up the Panthers’ first score with a 77-yard kickoff return.

Colton Wills ran for 40 yards and a touchdown, caught a pass and had 41 yards in kickoff returns. Fernando Padilla had 57 yards on 13 carries and a touchdown.

Collinsville hosts Valley Head in its season finale on Thursday. Geraldine entertains Crossville.
