Goshen Methodist Church Hosting “Safety & Security Training Program”

The Goshen United Methodist Church will be sponsoring a “Safety & Security Training Program” to be held on Sunday, January 26th at 2:00 P.M. The program will be taught by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department and will include a slide show presentation including historical information on previous Church shootings. Safety and security is even more important today than even before, so it is important to know how to not only to protect your church, but your church members even more.

This training is designed to educate Church ushers, greeters, security team members, and all other interested parties on the proper steps of handling church emergencies that will include topics like medical emergencies, weather emergencies, along with safety and security for active shooters/or other related problems in your Church.

This training is open to everyone including all Law Enforcement agencies; First Responders like Paramedics/EMT’s/Rescue Personal; Fire Department agencies; other local and community/rural Churches; and anyone else who may be interested in safety & security.

This training will be held in the sanctuary at Goshen United Methodist Church located at 625 Highway 9 South, Piedmont. Questions may be referred to Keith Word at 256-447-2833 or 256-239-8342.
