“Great American Baking Show” announces season 3 winner; she addresses Johnny Iuzzini sexual misconduct scandal

ABC/Mark Bourdillion(LOS ANGELES) — ABC’s The Great American Baking Show has announced the Season 3 winner on Facebook after the show was abruptly pulled off the air following sexual misconduct allegations against judge Johnny Iuzzini.

The ABC show posted a video with unaired clips, announcing that Vallery Lomas was the winner; Cindy Maliniak and Molly Brodak were runners-up.

In a new Facebook Live video, Lomas thanked her fans and addressed the scandal.

“As a woman, I have experienced harassment myself,” Lomas said. “I have experienced disrespectful comments, and I know first-hand the pain those comments and those actions can cause.”

Last month, Mic reported that four former co-workers of Iuzzini had accused him of sexual harassment when he was pastry chef at New York’s famed Jean-Georges restaurant. Mic followed that story with a second story containing allegations from four others.

ABC cut ties with Iuzzini after the story broke.
