GSCC Continuing Education Program Offering Painting Classes

GADSDEN STATE CONTINUING EDUCATION PROGRAM OFFERS PAINTING CLASSES

Gadsden State Community College’s Continuing Education Program is offering four holiday painting classes at its East Broad Campus.

The classes will be taught by Kelly Farley with Lookout Mountain Goats Crafts and Painting in Attalla. Participants have four classes to choose from.

The first painting class will be Nov. 17. The project is three pumpkins stacked on each other and painted on a 10″ x 48″ board. The cost is $50.

A second class also requires painting on a board and will be held on Nov. 19. The subject of the painting is a snowman. The cost is $50. Those attending the Nov. 17 course are encouraged to attend the second class and paint the snowman on the back of the board. Both classes are $90.

A third class is planned for Dec. 1 and includes a choice between painting a church or an angel on a 16″ x 20″ canvas. The cost is $45.

The final class is Dec. 3 and includes a choice of painting a snowman or a Christmas tree. These projects are also painting on 16″ x 20″ canvas. The cost is $45.

All courses will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Brown Hall. The classes are limited to 15 people so pre-registration is required. Participants must follow guidelines in place to curb the spread of the coronavirus, including wearing a mask, practicing social distancing, completing a wellness questionnaire, getting temperature checks and signing a waiver.

Registration forms can be found at www.gadsdenstate.edu/programs-of-study/continuing-education.cms [1].
