GSCC Continuing Education Program to Offer Three Sessions of ACT Prep

Gadsden State Community College’s Continuing Education Program is offering three sessions of ACT prep for students planning to take the standardized test in September. The sessions are available in-person or online.

“Some students are comfortable with the virtual option but we also want to offer in-person sessions for those who prefer a classroom setting,” said Pam Clough, director of Continuing Education. “We will follow all guidelines in place to help curb the spread of COVID-19. This includes wearing a mask, practicing social distancing as much as possible, completing a wellness questionnaire, getting temperature checks and signing a waiver.”

Valerie Roberts, a Gadsden State tutoring coordinator, is conducting all three sessions to prepare students for the ACT test. Students can participate in the Cardinal Tutoring Center on Gadsden State’s Wallace Drive Campus or through video conferencing.

Sessions are offered from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 18, July 25 and Aug. 1. Students can register for the session of their choice. One session is $99. Two sessions are $150, and all three sessions are $225. Once a student registers, a confirmation email will be sent containing instructions, items needed for the class and link to the online session(s), if applicable.
