Gadsden State Community College’s Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society recently raised money and collected donations to stuff shoeboxes for needy children around the world, through an initiative known as Operation Christmas Child
The project spearheaded by Samaritan’s Purse an international relief organization requires students to fill shoeboxes with gifts, such as toys, school supplies, hygiene items and notes of encouragement
The local Phi Theta Kappa chapter was able to prepare and donate 33 shoeboxes
