Hays State Prison Fires Two Employees

Hays State Prison in Chattooga County, Georgia has fired two employees in two separate incidents, one case involving sex with an inmate and the other bringing contraband into the prison.

41 year old Luis Vega Diego was fired for allegedly smuggling contraband inside the facility, with the warrant for his arrest being filed December 5th.  According to reports the incident actually occurred sometime between June and October of this year.

48 year old Menlo resident Keitha Michele Vaughan was fired for allegedly sleeping with an inmate under her supervision.  According to a warrant for her arrest, the incident allegedly occurred between 3:00 and 4:00am between November 26th and December 3rd.

Vaughan reportedly confessed to the crime.  The inmate in question is a 23 year old serving a twenty-year sentence for voluntary manslaughter.

Vaughan faces a charge of Sexual Assault.
