Hearings for Murder Suspect Terry Lee McKinney Set to Start Thursday

Mckinney 100Hearings are scheduled to get underway later in week (Thursday, April, 30th) in Etowah County for murder suspect Terry Lee McKinney who stands accused of brutally murdering man in Cedar Bluff back in March and then scattering his body parts alongside County Road 82 in the Unity Community.

On April 3rd, McKinney was transferred from the Cherokee County Detention Center to the Etowah County Detention Center, due to the fact that he is wheelchair bound, and requires special medical attention.

Originally the hearing was to take place on April 23rd; however, that had to be rescheduled to accommodate those involved, due to the fact that the case is being handled in Gadsden.

WEIS Radio News will be in the courtroom throughout those proceedings and we’ll provide frequent updates as the hearing gets underway.
