LinkedIn(NEW YORK) – Social media platform LinkedIn announced on Wednesday a new tool to help its users make better career decisions and optimize current and future earnings.
LinkedIn Salary utilizes the platform’s network of more than 460 million members to provide insights into the compensation of those who have similar jobs. This includes salary, bonuses, and equity data for specific job titles. Different factors that impact pay such as years of experience, industry, company size, location, and education level are also factored.
While some users may be wary to give LinkedIn their salary, the company says that once inputted, it is immediately encrypted and remains private.
The new service will be available to all LinkedIn members on desktop and mobile in the U.S., Canada, and the United Kingdom.
