A rain/snow mix and/or changeover to snow is possible on Friday. Here is the latest information on any possible impacts. Warm ground temperatures will limit accumulations.
Up to 1/2 inch accumulations will be possible on grassy surfaces, with the highest amounts possible in the higher elevations in eastern Alabama. The changeover to snow could occur near or just prior to sunrise Friday morning across the I-20 corridor, including the Birmingham metro.
The changeover to snow or a rain/snow mix will gradually shift southeast through the afternoon and evening. Please check back for future updates as we get closer to Friday.
