High School Graduation Exam to be Administered at Gadsden State Cherokee

ExamThe Spring administration of the Alabama High School Graduation Exam will be held at Gadsden State Community College – Centre Campus, during the week of March 16-20.

If you wish to sign up to take any part of the test you must contact your school’s counselor at least one week prior to your testing date.  You must have completed all required credits toward graduation in order to be eligible to test.  Your eligibility will be checked at the time you sign up. Only students who sign up will be admitted into testing.  Students who were first time 9th graders during the 2009-10 school-year or earlier are still required to pass the grad exam to receive an Alabama High School Diploma.

The following schedule will be followed that week….
Monday, March 16 – Social Studies
Tuesday, March 17 – Math
Wednesday, March 18 – Reading
Thursday, March 19 – Language
Friday, March 20 – Biology

The test will start at 8:00 AM each day.

Please be advised that electronic devices such as cell phones, cameras, mp3 players, or any other communication device, are strictly prohibited in the testing room during the test.

Students are asked to bring at least two #2 pencils with them on test day.  No mechanical pencils please.  Students are also asked to bring one form of appropriate identification to present when signing in.  A driver’s license will suffice.  Students should arrive at least 20 minutes prior to start time.
