HUBERT LEE FOSTER, age 89 of Centre, born November 20, 1926 in Luverne, AL, passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 at the Colonel Robert L. Howard Veteran’s Home in Pell City, AL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert L. Foster, Sr. and Mary Nell Foster; and brother, John Paul Foster.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Lunsford Foster; one sister, Mary Brooker; and daughters, Mary Ann Blackman (Hank) and Cathy Shumaker (Tip); in addition to several grandchildren.
He was a veteran of WWII, a graduate of Auburn University and worked as an engineer for U.S. Steel.
Graveside service will be held at Tates Chapel in Centre, AL on Saturday, February 20, 2016 beginning at 1:00.
