Investigation Continues into Three Armed Robberies in Gadsden in Month of July

The investigation continues into armed robberies occurring at three different Gadsden area businesses during the month of July.

Authorities have now released photos taken from surveillance footage from those incidents – on July 16th, 23rd and 27th – however, they aren’t saying whether they believe there may any connection between the robberies – two of which were at Dollar General Stores – while the third was at a convenience store.

The July 16th incident took place at 9:40pm when two men armed with hand guns entered the Dollar General Store in the 1400 block of South 11th Street; on July 23rd at around 9:45 that night entered the Dollar General in the 1400 block of J.R. Countryman Highway; he was armed a handgun; and on July 27th at around 11:00pm, a black male armed with a handgun entered the convenience store in the 500 block of George Wallace Drive.

The suspects in the latter two incidents managed to flee with undisclosed amounts of cash, while the subjects in the first attempt were unsuccessful in doing so.

No one was injured in any of the incidents.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact Gadsden Police Detective Mark Bullock, at (256) 549-4626.
