Jack’s Restaurant in Piedmont Robbed Friday Morning – Suspect in Custody

The Jack’s Restaurant in Piedmont was robbed early this morning – and the suspect is already in custody.

According to Piedmont Police Chief Steven Tidwell at around 4:30am a black male armed with a handgun entered the restaurant located on the Highway 278 Bypass – and demanded money from the staff.

The man then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

Piedmont Police has arrested 31 year old Parris Clayton Marshall II, of Piedmont – in connection with the incident; he has been charged with first degree robbery and is currently being held in the Piedmont City Jail.

No bond has been set and Marshall will be transferred to the Calhoun County Jail.

Chief Tidwell says that investigation is on-going, and additional information will be released at a later date.

It appears no one was hurt during the incident.
