James Clyde “Bud” Tucker, Jr. age 68, of Cedar Bluff, passed away Saturday June 30, 2018 in a local hospital.

Bud was born January 5, 1950, in Cobb County, Ga. a son of the late James Clyde Tucker, Sr. and Christine Head Tucker. He was a member of Gaylesville 2nd Baptist Church, and was retired from Georgia Pacific, as a maintenance superintendent. Bud was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp serving during the Viet Nam War.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Melynda Hanks Tucker, daughters, Jennifer Lynn (Reginald) Jones, Cedar Bluff; Jessica Christine Tucker, Cedar Bluff; sister, Pat Barfield, brother, Keith Tucker, granddaughters, Mya Jones, and Jessema Jones, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. (Ga. Time) Thursday July 5, 2018 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Alvin Bullard, and Rev. Tom Barfield, officiating. Interment will follow in Hardeman Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Thursday at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.
