James Luther Maloney, age 78 of Centre, passed away Friday, September 14th at Floyd-Cherokee Medical Center.
Graveside services will be 2: PM Sunday, September 16th at Cherokee Memory Gardens with Rev. Eddie Nation officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 until 1:30 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include Joshua Henson, Ronnie Henson, Michael Tucker, Blake Sumner. Dustin Robbins, Ron Robbins.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Smith Maloney; son, James Maloney of GA; daughter, Janice Henson of Centre; grandchildren, Joshua Henson, Christopher Henson; sister in-law Peggy Evans, several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Stacy Amanda Tucker.
Mr. Maloney was a native of Rome, GA, the son of the late Luther Freeman and Vivian Marie Barnard Maloney, was a truck driver, was a member of the Moose Lodge and Masonic lodge in Smyrna, GA and was a member of Centre First Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Centre First Baptist Church.
