James Webb Sasser, age 87 of Leesburg passed away, Saturday December 8th at Floyd Cherokee Medical Center.
Graveside services will be 11:30 AM Wednesday at Cherokee Memory Gardens Mausoleum with Sam Dixon Masonic Lodge officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 PM until 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include wife, Betty Faye Phillips Sasser of Leesburg; sons, Joseph (Erline) Sasser of Guntersville and Michael (Diane) Jacobs of Fyffe; daughters, Odessa (Ray) Hollis of Guntersville, Anna (Lynn) Starling of Sand Rock and Angel (Lee) Lumpkin of Ft. Payne; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Sasser was a native of Floyd County, Ga. and the son of the late Girdine and Pauline Roberts Ray, was a Navy Veteran, member of Sam Dixon Masonic lodge and a member of Centre First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by sons, Johnathan Girdine Sasser, Marty Jacobs and Mitchell Jacobs.
