An Altoona resident has taken up temporary lodgings as the guest of Etowah County Sheriff Entrekin.
32 year old Wesley Vaughn was arrested on a charge of felony Theft of Property 1st Degree.
Investigator Tara Bates said that Vaughn, over a period of four months allegedly stole more than $15,000 in cash from his place of employment, at the Jet Pep, on Highway 431 near the site of Kelly’s Auto Auction. Vaughn reportedly admitted to investigators that he had stolen the money after being confronted by his employer.
He is being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on a $5,000 property bond.
