Funeral service for Junior Bowman, 69, of Piedmont will be Tuesday, March 02, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home with the Rev. David Romine officiating. Burial will follow at Old Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery in Heflin. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral Home.

Mr. Bowman passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Bowman and great-grandson, Crimson Snead.

Survivors include wife, Patsy Bowman; five daughters, Kathy Bowman, Jodi Cobb, Amber Ammons, Martha Collins, and Crystal Luciani; special adopted daughter, Alissa Luciani; twelve grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren and expecting number 11 and 12. Pallbearers will be Dusty Cobb, JaMichael Wade, Michael James Collins, Russell Johnson, Tim Waldrup, Austin Cobb, Mark Cobb and Michael Moore.

Honorary pallbearers will be David Ward, Josh Glover, Blake Sexton, Jeff Ammons and Jacob Prichard. Mr. Bowman had been a resident of Piedmont for the past eight years and was a native of Dallas, Georgia.

He drove a truck for Wrights Sanitation for 10 years while living in Georgia. He was a licensed auctioneer and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Bowman was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family.
