“Kimmel” confession leads to Groupon Super Bowl commercial for Tiffany Haddish

ABC/Paula Lobo(NEW YORK) — As she recently told Jimmy Kimmel, Tiffany Haddish is addicted to Groupon, and her love of the e-commerce discount service is being rewarded with a Super Bowl commercial.

“I’m super excited to announce I’m the new spokesperson for Groupon,” Haddish declared today. “As you know, I’m a huge fan of Groupon, and have been using them forever, to eat out, to take my niece everywhere, and to get my Groupon body on,” she continued. “You know what I’m saying, personal trainers at a discounted rate. So stay tuned because tons of exciting stuff is coming up this year.”

The Girls Trip star will be featured in a series of ads, including a 30-second commercial airing during the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl on February 4.

“We’re thrilled to have one of the hottest names in entertainment as our new spokesperson,” says Groupon’s Chief Marketing Officer, Vinayak Hegde. “Tiffany’s award-winning talent and well-known passion for our brand make her the perfect choice to serve as the face of Groupon.”

Last summer, Haddish boasted about her love of the company during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! She described using Groupon to purchase a Louisiana swamp tour for herself, her Girls Trip co-star Jada Pinkett Smith, and Jada’s husband, Will Smith.
