Lady Warriors’ volleyball season ends to White Plains in Class 4A, Area 9 tournament

JACKSONVILLE – The Cherokee County Lady Warriors couldn’t recover from a tough loss in the first set against White Plains in the Class 4A, Area 9 volleyball tournament at Jacksonville on Wednesday. Their season came to an end with a 24-26, 13-25, 22-25 setback.

AK Reyes posted 11 digs and had a kill. Madison Leonard added six digs. Sarai Ray contributed eight digs and six assists. Ella Garmany collected eight digs, seven kills and a block. Madeline Ware came away with seven kills. Anna Walker delivered five aces, four digs and two assists.

Kenzie Hunter had five assists, three digs, two kills and two aces. Vivian Connell managed two blocks and a kill. Libby Curry finished with two digs and an ace.

White Plains went on to be swept by Jacksonville in the tournament final. Cherokee County’s season ends at 6-21.
