Larry Franklin Moon, age 71 of Centre, passed away Sunday, January 6th at his residence.
A memorial service will be held at 2PM Wednesday, January 9th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Nation and Rev. Melvyn Salter officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8PM Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Honorary Pallbearers will be All close friends.
Survivors include his wife, Vickie Johnson Moon; daughter, Hennae Moon (Larry) McGinnis sons, Rodney (April) Givens of Gaylesville, Robby Givens of Oxford; son-in-law, Tommy Collins; chosen son, Dr. Danny Sanders of Miss; brothers, Harry (Betty) Moon of Centre, Tommy (Beverly) Moon of Pensacola, FL., Paul (Pat) Moon of Decatur; sisters, Sandra (Bob) Montgomery of Leesburg, Nancy (Hollis) Steed of Centre; 9 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Heather Moon.
Mr. Moon was a native of Cherokee County, the son of the late Robert and Faye Bradley Moon, was a retired textile worker and was a member of Centre First Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Centre First Baptist Church Building Fund.
