The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases across the state has now topped 12,000 – and, as of Tuesday morning had reached 12,331 – with 4,194 being confirmed in the last 14 days. The ADPH COVID-19 Data and Surveillance Dashboard currently lists 493 confirmed deaths resulting from the illness.
According to those latest Alabama Department of Public Health figures – 1,432 individuals have been hospitalized since March 13th, and the number tested now stands at 157,208.
The ADPH lists Cherokee County as having had a total of 28 confirmed cases and no deaths – meanwhile DeKalb County has had 195 positive results and two deaths; in Etowah County there have been 213 confirmed cases with a total of 10 deaths and Calhoun County has now logged 133 confirmed cases with three deaths resulting from the illness there.
