As of this (Monday) morning (July 13th), Cherokee County has had a total of 124 confirmed cases of coronavirus since March 13th.
The Cherokee County Office of Emergency Management & Homeland Security released the updated COVID-19 figures for the county last Friday and at that time the count stood at 119 cases with 57 remaining active and 55 having recovered – no longer considered infectious.
Cherokee County has seen a total of 7 illness related deaths from COVID-19.
Over the last two weeks there have been 54 positive results returned out of 494 tested over that same time period.
Cherokee County has two locations offering testing – the County Health Department, at 877 Cedar Bluff Road in Centre, and Main Street Urgent Care at 1925 West Main Street in Centre
