NBCUniversal(NEW YORK) — Recent scandals surrounding Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump have inspired an upcoming episode of Law & Order: SVU, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
In the episode, Veep star Gary Cole will play a politician whose campaign is derailed when several women go public with damaging accusations.
The episode, titled “Unstoppable,” is set to air October 26 on NBC.
Trump as been confronted recently by a series of reports of lewd conduct. Last week, the Associated Press published a report containing allegations that the former host of NBC’s The Apprentice displayed lewd and sexual behavior on the show’s set. Friday, the Washington Post released an 11-year-old recording of Trump making vulgar comments about women while chatting with then-Access Hollywood host Billy Bush. Then Sunday, The New York Times published an interview with a woman who accused him of groping her.
