Leesburg K-9 Assists In Drug Trafficking Arrest

23 year old Dalton LaJames Farr of Leesburg was arrested over the weekend on charges of Drug Trafficking.

According to Leesburg Investigator Jamie Chatman two ounces of methamphetamine was recovered with the assistance of Leesburg K-9 Draco.

As of Monday, Farr remains in the Cherokee County Detention Center on a $75,500 bond.

Draco and Chatman recently graduated from the Alabama K-9 School. The class is taught by Rickey Farley who is known all over the U.S. and trains dogs for such agencies as the Secret Service, Border Patrol Homeland Security.

This was a 4 week long course; Draco is a two year old German shepherd.

The Town of Leesburg has already made several drug cases with Draco including a couple of trafficking cases.
