According to a News Release from Cherokee County Coroner Dr. Jeremy Deaton, Joshua Lee Berryhill, 29 of Leesburg, who was critically injured in an ATV accident occurring on Friday February 23rd – has passed away as a result of injuries sustained in that accident.  He died Tuesday, February 27th at a regional trauma center.  The Coroner’s Office is investigating the accident.

Berryhill was air-lifted for treatment that afternoon (February 23rd) from the FEMA Building in Leesburg, after being involved in the ATV accident on Deere Run, during which he reportedly suffered injuries to the head.

Cherokee EMS and the Leesburg Fire Department both responded to the scene – afterwards Berryhill was flown out by a LifeSaver Medical Helicopter to UAB Hospital in Birmingham.
