Leesburg Police Clear Up Breaking & Entering of a Motor Vehicle Case

Leesburg PD 1According to Leesburg Police Chief Lanny Ransum, his department has cleared up some vehicle break-in’s which took place on Monday of this week (July 7th) with the arrest of two individuals from Albertville.

There were a total of three break-in’s – with two occurring at KTH and one at the Coosa Corner convenience store in Leesburg.

Officers were able to review security footage from each location which allowed them to identify the vehicle used in the incidents – and subsequently, the suspects.

LB - Saint34 year old Judy Kay Saint was arrested on Tuesday (July 8th) and charged with three counts of the Unlawful Breaking & Entering of a Motor Vehicle; and on Wednesday (July 9th) 26 year old Tom Seabers Pope was placed under arrest on the same charges.

LB - PopeChief Ransum said that during the course of the investigation, it was learned that vehicles at also been broken into at the Wal-Mart parking lot, and at that time, the Centre Police Department was brought in to assist in the investigation.

Ransum added that most all of the items stolen have been recovered and he says more arrests are expected in connection with the case.
