Leesburg Woman Arrested For Theft Of Controlled Substances At Collinsville Nursing Home

Lisa-Renee-BishopA former nurse who reportedly worked at Collinsville Healthcare & Rehabilitation has been arrested in connection with theft of Hydrocodone.

25 year old Leesburg resident Lisa Renee Bishop reportedly turned herself in at the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday.

According to reports, a routine audit indicated that Bishop had been administering narcotic pain medication at a much higher than usual rate and had failed to properly document all of the instances in which medication was given out.

It was determined that approximately 90 pills were missing however Bishop later admitted to stealing a small amount of the medication.

Because Hydrocodone is a controlled substance, Bishop faces a possible sentence of up to ten years in the Alabama Department of Corrections for theft of property in the second degree if convicted.

Bishop turned herself in to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office and was later released on a $10,000 bond.
