Lilton Callier “Amma” Rigsby, age 78 of Centre, passed away Thursday, January 16th at her residence.
Funeral services will be 3:PM Saturday, January 18th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Lynn Hughston and Rev. Michael Manning officiating; a private interment will follow in Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3:PM Saturday.
Pallbearers include Carl Gossett, Wesley Gossett, Ross Gossett, Larry McDuff, Mitchell Guice, Adam Shaw, Tracy Watson.
Survivors include daughter, Tammy (Derrick J.) Steed of Centre; sisters, Joyce (Bill) Turner of Buena Vista, GA, Ann (Gary) Watson of Buena Vista, GA; grandson, Chad Steed of Centre; chosen daughter, Tammy Doegg Jordan; chosen great granddaughter, Lilly Grace Gossett.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A. Durwood Rigsby; brothers, Clarence Callier, William Callier; sister, Lillian Bassett.
Mrs. Rigsby was a native of Taylor County, GA, the daughter of the late, Frank and Sallie Hayes Callier, was retired from So-Sew Styles and was a member of Tates Chapel Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Venecia’s Foundation or UAB, Dr. Talene Yacoubian’s Parkinson Disease Research.
