Log Truck Overturns In Spring Garden / UPDATED

An overturned log truck blocked a portion of County Road 29 near the intersection of County Road 27 in Spring Garden on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the accident took place just after 3:00 – with the Spring Garden Fire Department, Cherokee County EMA personnel and Piedmont Rescue and Alabama State Troopers all responding to the scene.

The driver of the 1997 Mack truck, listed as a male resident of Jacksonville, Alabama, escaped injury and was merely shaken up in the accident.  The stretch of 29 was shut down for several hours as crews worked to clean up debris and upright the truck.
