Male Subject Injured After Falling From The Rocks At Cherokee Rock Village

One person was airlifted after around 20 feet while rock climbing at Cherokee Rock Village on Sunday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called to the park after a 911 call reporting a 52 year old male had fallen.

A medical helicopter was called to the helipad at the park to transport the subject to an area trauma center for treatment of unspecified injuries.

The Sand Rock Fire Department, Cherokee County Rescue Squad personnel and Floyd EMS responded to the scene.
