Man Accused Of Shooting Wife’s Clothes

People deal with their anger in a variety of ways, and in this case a man who was mad at his wife dealt with it by tossing her clothes into the yard – and shooting them.

According to reports at the Etowah County Sheriff’s Office – deputies responded to a call related to a domestic violence issue around 7:00am; apparently, a 24 year old man and his wife had been in the midst of an argument since roughly 3:00 that morning at a home on Dry Creek Road in the Ball Play community.

A man was held early Monday on misdemeanor charges after a domestic violence incident with his wife, according to reports at the Etowah County Sheriff’s Office.

After shooting his wife’s clothes the man was allegedly in the process of loading several firearms into his car and attempting to leave when deputies arrived.

The man was still armed and fought with deputies before being taken into custody.

He was charged with domestic violence third degree, disorderly conduct, menacing and also with resisting arrest.
