Man Arrested After Repeatedly Ramming Vehicle into Woman’s Car

A woman on her way to work at Honeywell Aerospace in Calhoun County over the weekend was almost the victim of a somewhat bizarre crime attempt – fortunately, Oxford Police and Calhoun County Deputies arrived and apprehended the man responsible.

According to Calhoun County Sheriff Matthew Wade, around 4:30 on Saturday morning, the victim was almost to her workplace on Cliff Garrett Drive when her vehicle was struck from behind – the other car then struck her vehicle again – and, as she attempted to turn into the secure employee parking lot, she was hit yet again.

She then got out and ran with the suspect getting into her vehicle in an apparent attempt to steal it.  At that point, law enforcement arrived and arrested the man – later identified as 24 year old Brandon Shane Moore of Anniston; Anniston Police also responded and recognized Moore as the suspect in an incident taking place at Club Pure a short time earlier, where he had reportedly struck other vehicles before driving away.

Moore was arrested on charges of Assault 1st Degree and Theft of Property 1st Degree with bond being set at $60,000.
