Man Arrested Following Bizarre “Road Rage” incident in Rome

A Rome man was arrested Monday after he allegedly shot at three people, including a child, in an apparent case of road rage.  According to Floyd County Jail records, the incident began when the victims’ vehicle was driving slowly in front of the vehicle being driven by 27 year old Tevin Marquel Fain of a Dodd Boulevard address.  Fain reportedly passed, then began blocking and driving slowly to harass the victims.

At some point, the shot was fired.

Jail records state that Fain accelerated his vehicle and refused to stop when police activated their lights and sirens.  He reportedly ran the stop sign on Dean Avenue and tossed a Ruger .40 caliber out of the window next to the Stay Lodge.

Fain stands charged with three counts of aggravated assault, aggressive driving, fleeing or attempting to elude, 3rd-degree cruelty to children, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, tampering with evidence, running a stop sign, and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
