Man Arrested in Connection with Marshall County Shooting

An arrest has been made in connection with a shooting occurring on August 8th in Marshall County.

On that day deputies responded to provide assistance to an individual that had been shot in the lower leg while in his front yard on North New Hope Highway.

Upon arrival they found the victim inside his home – he was then transported to Huntsville Hospital, where he was treated and released.

The offender was identified as Bradley Stephen Anderson of Grant, Alabama.  Anderson had left the area driving a Nissan truck prior to law enforcement arriving on the scene.  Quickly, investigators obtained Assault 2nd Degree warrants for Anderson, and they began trying to determine his whereabouts.

On Monday this week (August 17th) – the Sheriff’s Office received an anonymous tip stating that the Nissan truck used in that shooting incident had been seen parked at a residence on Gilley Drive in Grant.  Deputies located the vehicle and shortly after knocking on the door of the home, Anderson exited with his hands in the air, and he was taken into custody without incident.

At the time of his arrest Anderson was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun.

He is currently being held on a parole violation and was also charged with being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm.

Bond has been set at $12,500.
