Man Charged with Attempted Murder in Connection with Gadsden Shooting

A suspect has been taken into custody and charged with attempted murder in connection with the shooting of a Gadsden man just after midnight Sunday.

According to the website al.com, 34 year old Torrinte Domonic Snow told police that he had just come out onto the porch of the home in the 1100 block of Whitehall Trail, and was loading items into a car for his mother – when the incident took place.

Snow said a man walked into the yard and began firing shots at him – striking him in at least two places; Snow was air-lifted to Birmingham for medical treatment.

He gave police the name of the man he believed shot him and the subject, Mario LeShawn White – was later picked up by authorities and charged with attempted murder.

He is being held without bond in the Etowah County Detention Center.

Police have yet to release any information regarding a possible motive for the shooting.
