Man Charged with DUI and Criminal Trespass After Taking Food From Fridge

A recent case of what you could call “extremely poor judgment,” landed a Chattooga County man in jail on criminal trespass and DUI charges.

According to a report released by the Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a call around 11:00 last Tuesday night about a vehicle being stuck in someone’s yard on Lickskillet Road.

When deputies arrived, they spoke with the owner of the residence – who told them that he came home to find 46 year old Jeremy Pickle’s vehicle stuck in his yard.

Deputies detained Pickle in the back yard of the residence as they investigated the incident.

According to the report the subject, who was covered in mud and wet from head to toe, was placed in handcuffs and put in a patrol car while deputies spoke with the homeowner.

Deputies determined that Pickle had gone inside the residence and had taken food from the refrigerator.   Deputies say Pickle made several passes through the yard of the home, before getting his 2010 Chevrolet pickup stuck.  Pickle was placed under arrest, charged with both DUI and criminal trespass, prior to being booked into the Chattooga County Jail.
