According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, on January 22nd, their office received a call from a concerned citizen regarding a Boaz resident, 26 year old Skylar Ray Bennett, having child pornography on his cell phone. An investigation was launched with a search warrant being obtained for Bennett’s home on County Road 1 in Boaz – and as a result of that search he was arrested and charged with Producing Obscene Material, the Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
