Man Charged with Trying to Kill Two People by Hitting Them with His Truck

A man was jailed Saturday after police say he attempted to kill two people with his vehicle.

According to Floyd County Jail records 31 year old Jarrett Todd Louallen of Lindale entered the victim’s property on Harmony Road despite “No Trespassing” signs that were posted.  Once there, Louallen and an unnamed partner took a four-wheeler and a logger chain – that report states Louallen also tried to take a pontoon boat and trailer when he was confronted by the victim. It was at that point Louallen allegedly used his pickup truck as a weapon and attempted to run over the man and his wife.

The victim had to shoot at the truck to keep from getting hit.

Louallen stands charged with two counts of aggravated assault, one count of felony theft by taking, two counts of misdemeanor theft by taking, with two counts of reckless conduct and a single count of criminal trespass.
