Man Fatally Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision Tuesday Evening Near Anniston Army Depot

A 62 year old Anniston man was fatally injured in a two-vehicle accident occurring Tuesday evening in Calhoun County.  According to the Public Information Officer at the Jacksonville Post of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the wreck took place on County Road 109 at 6:50pm near the Anniston Army Depot when a 1994 Chevy Suburban driven by 36 year old Phillip Kines collided with a ’91 Honda Accord being driven by Jimmy Mobley.   

The accident report listed Mobley as being killed in that crash, while Kines was transported from the scene to Regional Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. 

No additional information was listed regarding Kines condition.

That accident remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
