A single-vehicle crash on U.S. 431 Monday claimed the life of a Madison County man.
34 year old Jarred Lynn Smith of Huntsville was killed when the 1995 GMC Sierra pickup he was driving, left the roadway and struck several trees at 12:15pm – approximately 14 miles north of Guntersville. According to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Public Information Officer Curtis Summerville – Smith, who was not using a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
That accident remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
