A 44 year old man is behind bars after allegedly breaking into a home in Boaz and stealing a two-liter soft drink. That’s it. That’s all he took.
Michael Coleman Stewart is accused of entering the home on Walter Whitt Road – while the homeowner was there – taking the two-liter bottle turning around and then heading for the door.
Investigators say Stewart admitted to using illegal narcotics prior to the incident.
He was charged with Burglary 2nd Degree, Theft of Property 4th Degree, and Attempting to Elude.
He was quickly taken into custody by law enforcement officials and then transported to the Etowah County Detention Center, where his bond was set at $7,000; a Hold has been placed against him for Pardons & Paroles.
