Police in Marshall County arrested a babysitter after a large amount of cash and drugs wrapped for sale were discovered at an Albertville home.
Albertville police say the man was babysitting a two year old child when someone became concerned about the situation and called police.
Paul Glen Abercrombie of Albertville faces charges of unlawful possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and controlled substances.
Police discovered nearly three-quarters of a pound of marijuana inside his home, along with marijuana packaged for resale, various prescription pills, a handgun, and more than $3,000 in cash.
When police arrived, evidence piqued the interest of the officers, which led to the find of narcotics, money, and a weapon inside the home.
That’s also when it was discovered Abercrombie was babysitting the young child. The Department of Human Resources was called to assist in the investigation.
