Marshall County Escapee Captured in Kilpatrick

Information has now been released regarding the recent apprehension of an escapee out of Marshall County in the Kilpatrick area of DeKalb County.  Last Sunday (July 28th) around 8:00pm, DeKalb County Sheriff’s Deputies captured William Harry Humphries Jr., age 45 from Albertville following a traffic stop on Highway 68 close to  the intersection of Highway 168.

Humphries was wanted by Marshall County for escaping from a work release facility.  He and his passenger, 38 year old Brenda Buckelew of Horton, Alabama, were in possession of approximately 18 grams of Methamphetamine at the time.  They were both charged with Unlawful Distribution of Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 

Humphries also faces existing charges in Marshall County of Escape 2nd and 3rd Degree, in addition to Failure to Appear on a prior charge of Receiving Stolen Property 1st Degree.
