A Marshall County woman has been jailed on an attempted murder charge.
Authorities responded to a disturbance call on Shady Side Drive in Grant last Thursday and when they arrived on the scene, they found 61 year old Roy Dale Crabtree suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
He was transported by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment.
36 year old Marilyn Renee Cox was located at her home shortly thereafter, and arrested on a charge of attempted murder; investigators say the shooting was the result on an on-going argument between Crabtree and Cox.
Cox remains in the Marshall County Jail and additional charges could be forthcoming as the investigation into the matter continues.
